Habitat for Humanity Guatemala participates in Cobán International Half Marathon

COBÁN, Guatemala (May 18, 2011) – Habitat for Humanity Guatemala began sponsoring the Cobán International Half Marathon in 2010.

This year, “Team Habitat” consists of 21 national and international runners who are excited to represent the organization in the race.

The event encompasses the athletic spirit of Habitat for Humanity Guatemala’s staff, and helps to support the Alta Verapaz affiliate, which serves the greatest number of families with Habitat housing solutions on a national level.

In addition to the race, Habitat staff will support the event organizers in other activities, such as an expo, parade and kilometer markers.
